Kristin's chat is available at E! Online. More of the same, including her repeated promises that Spike will not die in the finale. Again, my stance on this is that I don't have a confirm either way. However, Spike's sacrifice makes much more sense story-wise than Spike going 'poof'. If you're going to have redemption, you're going to need sacrifice.

Besides, seeing how her confident claims that there would be a 'BAD' (Big Alias Death) proved wrong, maybe she's incorrect about the 'BSD' (Big Spike Disappearance).
