More On The Finale, SpoilerZone
Shine The Light On Me
One quick thing before I go into the spoilers. Actor pulled his two previous posts on the Shoot Report from SMGfan.com. His finale post is interesting, but not spoilery.
Well, first thing's first. I deleted the other 2 topics I made with my first set reports. Why? Well, because I've been doin some thinking and I feel bad givin away all those points of the story. Joss and the cast work hard to make the show what it is and they want things to be a surprise. It's just disrespectful to spill so much after getting the opportunity to work with them like that.
Here's the deal: I'll give my last set report here but I'm not giving away the major stuff...and boy, you guys are missin out, cuz there was one MAJOR thing that happened today! Sorry to tell ya, but not TELL ya, but hey...this way you're left in suspense til you see it
Got to the lot, saw Nicholas Brendon standing outside again when I got there. On my way to wardrobe, saw Emma Caulfield holding a little dog (think it was a pit bull). After I got changed, saw Alyson Hannigan walkin toward set. Think that she was in a scene that took place in the house with Xander, Anya, and Dawn, but not sure.
Filmed some more fighting/dying until the battle ended and that was it. Sorry, but that's all I can give ya. The rest is just too much and I really think you guys should see for yourselves..hint: It's pretty emotional, of course. This report was probably boring to ya, but...that's all I can say without givin away too much.
I hung out with a few of the fighting Potentials becuase I knew a couple of them from shows we worked on together before. I also talked to Rona and Injured Girl. Sat next to the other potentials during dinner. I passed by Giles while I was in my Ubervamp costume. He looked at me and smiled. Same thing happened with Faith.
I didn't talk to Joss. He directed the main cast members. We had seperate people and fight coordinators directing us.
I think the finale will be well-done, of course. Not sure how it'll rate until I actually see the finished product, but it all looked so cool. The stunt men and doubles looked awesome and the fights were choreographed nicely. It'll definitely be a big action-packed episode.
Shannon makes her first appearance in the upcoming episode "Dirty Girls." If you've been reading the spoilers at all, she's the girl in the beginning of the episode who gets picked up by Caleb and stabbed. Apparently she survives and makes it to the finale, though I wasn't actually fighting with her, I was fighting with another potential near her. No use lookin for me, we all pretty much looked the same, hehe
Don't think Buffy had any other visible injuries besides the stab wound. The Potentials had various injuries...bruises, welts, scrapes, cuts on the cheek/forehead. I saw someone taking a picture of a bunch of the injured potentials and Rona told her not to show the pic to anyone until after the episode aired, so I'm guessing the injuries are kind of a big deal too, which is why I won't go into who had what. Hers looked good, though. The "injured girl" actually didn't have much to separate her from the other Potentials with injuries, so I suppose maybe she had a serious injury in a previous scene (?)
Nicole wrote to me about her adventures near the ME Studios/Lot. Nothing very spoilery again, but interesting to read.
Arrived around 1:00pm today (Friday). Guard told us to get lost, so we went around the back. There's an alleyway in the back of the lot and we could see the outdoor sets (movie theatre "Sun" sign, outdoor Magic Box and a bunch of props/storefronts, etc.) Lots of cars parked back there and other stuff that made seeing anything real kinda difficult.
Anyway, we wandered around back and peeked through the fence... lo and behold, just about every cast member was there. Also, a lot of writers and what I assumed were extras. Everyone was looking up at something that I couldn't see on top of one of the buildings... but it sounded like a stunt of some kind (and some stunt doubles were present... Spike's for sure). What I mean by "sounded like" is that every few minutes there was a loud banging, kinda like someone dove from a diving board. All the cast and crew were watching and then they would clap when it was done.
After that the cast huddled together for a pic. In this pic I saw (and I am just going to use char. names because its easier) Giles, Spike, Andrew, Dawn, Anya, Willow, Xander. I am fairly certain I saw Dru (dark haired, skinny lady, and it was not Eliza (Faith)and for some unknown reason the man who plays Principle Snyder was there. I have no idea why. I have a blurry photo of him butI am positive it was him. Faith and Buffy were not in the pic that I could see.
Joss was there and in the pic with the cast. I said hello to Jane E and Drew (?Greenberg?)and a couple other crew members. One told me they were doing cast pictures today.
Anyway, we walked around more. After the photo shoots, most everyone left. All the extras and most crew. Writers came and went, and Willow and Anya took off and I didn't see them again the rest of the day. I got the impression they had only showed up for the photos. James Marsters (Spike) stuck around talking to someone I didn't recognize. He was not wearing his duster for the pic if anyone cares. He was wearing a short leather jacket and jeans... I think. Very hot and seemed friendly and talkative. I saw him the most because when most everyone else left he was standing outside the warehouse with a stack of papers I assume was a script. He was rehearsing from the looks of it. He would look at the script and then start talking and gesturing (and there was no one that he was talking to.) He was acting seriously, jabbing his finger in the air at an invisible someone. He entered the warehouse where, someone correct me if I am wrong, I think is the interior of Buffy's! house or interior school shots.
Wendy has updated the SpoilerZone with more info on the finale.
I have some further information on the series finale. This information is of course preliminary as the episode has not completed filming yet.
Buffy and Angel's reunion is briefly interrupted by Caleb, but Buffy kills him for good. Angel gives Buffy a file of information on the First and an amulet for a champion and offers to stay and fight with her. She sends him back to LA in case she fails in her fight in Sunnydale. They talk about how Buffy doesn't feel she is ready for relationships, but when she thinks about it, she does wonder if things might work with Angel in the distant future.
Buffy is visited by the First again and gets an idea of how to fight it--Willow will do a spell so that Buffy can share her power with all the Potentials, who will then be empowered to fight the Ubervamps. They decide to open the Seal of Danthazar and fight the Ubervamps in the Hellmouth.
Buffy gives Spike the amulet to wear. While they are fighting the Ubervamp Army, the amulet starts to work. It creates powerful energy and sunlight that destroys the Ubervamps--and pins Spike in place. Buffy tries to get him to leave, but he says he has to stay and finish it. She tells him she loves him and holds his hand. He says he doesn't believe her, but it was nice of her to say it. He pushes her away and she flees the destruction, barely. She is the last one out as the Hellmouth collapses.
I'm going to presume that the info that she's providing is concentrating on the Spike storyline, since there are still many unanswered questions. Such as what Faith is doing throughout this episode, where has Dawn gotten to, the fate of Kennedy and the other SIT's, how does Anya die (and supposedly save Andrew in the process) and how exactly is battling an army of UberVamps going to defeat 'The First'.
I do feel that her info is accurate, as it matches things that I've been hearing. I still would put a question mark on the exact fate of Spike, as I've heard some very convincing rumors that would not be confirmed by a shoot report. Unfortunately, what little has come out about 'Chosen' has not included what I would consider to be enough information to give these rumors a strong enough confirmation that I would want to pass it along as spoilage. In other words, perhaps if Wendy or another source could answer the above questions, I might be able to shed some, er, 'light' on the situation.
Unfortunately, due to some backend maintenance I can't update the Spoiler Database just yet. But for now consider all the information from both Wendy and Actor as 'Likely'. Spoiler page should be updated early tomorrow morning at the latest.
And don't forget, it's Wildfeed Monday!
