Couple of bits for today.
"The scene with Buffy and Spike? Please"
Wow. That's a tall order. Lemme see...
Act 2
Buffy is lies on an unkept bed in the little house she walked into. There is knocking on the front door, but Buffy doesn't react to them. We hear footsteps approching, and then, "There you are." Buffy slowly turns to see Spike standing in the rooms doorway. Spike comments how he could just walk in without an invite, "This town really is their's now, isn't it?" Buffy and Spike exchange a look. Spike says that he's been to her house, and calls Faith a bitch. He goes on about Faith, but Buffy stops him, saying that it wasn't just her, but all of them. Then she asks him to please leave.
But Spike doesn't go anywhere. He's somewhat enthused and tells her that he came there to tell her that she was right, and that Caleb is trying to protect something from her at the vineyard. He looks at her expectantly, wanting a reaction. "I don't feel very right." Buffy says, and goes on to say that they blame her, and that they're right.
Spike crouches down by the bed."You're not a quiter." "Oh...watch me." Spike tells her that she was their leader and still is. Spike gives Buffy an intense look.
Act 3
Buffy is sitting on the bed with Spike standing before her. "You mean no as in, eventually?" "You really have trouble with that word, don't you?" Buffy replys. Spike says he doesn't understand her, and Buffy says she's been aware of that for some time. "They need you!" he tells her, then goes on about howit's chaos without her...then admits that he didn't see a lot, "I came, hit Faith a bunch of times and left." Buffy seems a little perked up by this. Spike tells her that he could make Faith a footnote in history...but Buffy is still sulking. "These are girls. That I got killed." Buffy goes on to say that she can't fault them for kicking her out. Then goes onto talk about how shecut herself off from them because she knew some would die...how she's ALWAYS cut herself off from people...people who try to connect to her..."You should know." She goes onto say how Spike and her never got close..."That's why you wanted me...'cause I was unattainable."
This strikes a cord with Spike. "You think that's all it was??" He tells her she's insufferable.
He quietly tells her that he's always followed his blood, "which doesn't always rush in the direction of my head." And so he's made a lot of mistakes...a lot of wrong calls. "A hundred plus years, and the only one thing that I've ever been sure of. You."
He goes to touch her face, but she momentarily turns away, but he puts his hand to her cheek and urges her to look at him. He tyells her that when he says he loves her, it's not because he wants her or can't have her. He's seen her strength...her kindness. He's seen the best and worst in her. "...and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You are a hell of a woman." Buffy is crying silently, as Spike smiles at her kindly. He tells her she's the one, but she says she doesn't want to be the one. Spike jokes with her that he doesn't want to be so good-looking, but we all have our cross to bear. She smiles a bit.
He tells her to get some rest and that he'll check in on her later, then starts to leave.
She quietly calls after him. "Could you...stay here?"
"Sure." Spike starts to take a pile of clothes off an armchair. "No. I mean...here." She looks down at the bed, and goes onto ask if he would hold her. They look at each other...then he slowly goes to her, and lie together, her head on his chest, arms wrapped around one another.
Then we hear a voiceover to the next scene. It's the Mayor/First, "It all comes down to love."
(later, during a montage)
Spike holds Buffy asleep in his arms. He is awake, gently stroking her hair...then he kisses her forehead.
(later, at dawn)
Buffy wakes up to see Spike in her arms, sleeping peacfully. She watches him sleep...just looking at him.
(later, during the day)
Spike starts to wake up.He smiles softly to himself as he reaches over to Buffy, but she's gone. He sees a note on the pillow, and unfolds it and begins to read.
Am i the only one disturbed with the Wood and Faith thing? Does it seem to you that she was using him? If so.....eek.
Actually, the whole Faith/Wood thing really didn't bother me, personally. In a way, it makes scence, and follows part vof the theme of this eppy...
It plays out something like this;
Faith has JUST been visited by The First/The Mayor. He really got to her BIG time. She's slightly in shock. A hand on her arm startles her. She turns to find Wood standing behind her, shakes his hand off and moves away. She warns him about sneaking up on her, and he appologizes, "I knocked." He asks her what happened, but Faith trys to drop it. Still, she looks shaken. "You sure you're alright?" he persists. Faith gets defensive and questions why he should care. Wood just says that she just looked kinda upset, and so aked if she was okay. Faith relents, "Sorry." Wood starts to leave, but Faith stops him,"It was the First." Wood comes back and closes the door. Faith looks vulnerable. Wood comments on how the First doesn't show unless it thinks you matter. Faith holds up a trembling hand, "Man, look at that..." she says. "That really got me." Wood asks her who the First was to her. "...an old boss of mine...he was like a dad to me." "It was my mother," says Wood. They both relate how they, in a way, wanted the person the First was being to be real..."Nobody wants to be alone, Faith. We all want someone who cares. To be touched that way." They're intense. They connect, get the need in each other.
They talk some more...about what the First told them, about Buffy a little. Wood starts to mention the mission they have planed, but Faith interupts him, "Forget about tomorrow. This is tonight." She puts a hand on his arm. Then she kisses him. "Touch me." says Faith. They passionatly fall back into bed.
Where is everyone while Faith/Wood & Xander/Anya are boinking? Aren't there 20 some odd SiTs in the house? What about Giles & Andrew?
Why, yes there are 20 or so SITs in the house at the time! Acording to ye olde script they are camped out in the living room mostly at this time. The room is lit by candle light (it seems Sunnydale's lost power). Some are asleep in there sleeping bags. Some are awake, scared.
Faith and Wood are "working out" in Buffy's room.
Willow and Kennedy are "bonding" in Willow's room.
And Xander and Anya are "enjoying something sweet" on the kitchen floor.
It's not mentioned where Giles and Andrew are, that I can recall....hmmm...
Do we get to see any of it...Is it long...is it short...Does he briefly glance at it before putting it away...Will it get mentioned again?...If it only apppears in the final scene of 22, I'll be pulling out hair...and it may not be mine
Ah yes...the note.
Spike is just starting to wake up. He smiles softly to himself, reaches over for Buffy...
But she's gone. There's a note on the pillow. Spike reaches for it, unfolds it and begins to read.
And that's all we get of the note.
The very next scene, Buffy is at the vineyard, confronting Caleb. "I hear you have something of mine."
I can only assume that the note was telling Spike that she was going to the vineyard....as Spike told her the night before that Caleb was trying to protect something from her there.
...it ends at its discovery? do we get a boom!? if so, any apparent casualties?
Episode 20 ends with Faith kicking the lock off a box (about the same size that would hold the scythe) and kneeling before it. She opens it to reveal the BOMB. 6...5... "Everybody get down!" Faith yells. ....4...3...2...
Blackout.
Grrrr...Arggg....
does the FE put a mojo on everyone? or is it just a coincidence that everyone is "touchy" feely?
I really don't think that the First had anything to do with all the groping going around. I think it actually does have something to do with this particular story. Hence the title, "Touched". I think that Wood's post summs up part of what this eppys about;
"Nobody wants to be alone, Faith. We all want someone who cares. To be touched that way
Do you have any idea why Giles killed the bringer they interrogate?
Ya know, hg, I was wondering that myself! Seemed they could've got more info from the eyeless-toungless one...curious.
Just another thing to make you go "hmmmm.
does kennedy/Andrew come off well in this eppy?
Andrew is at his best during his early scenes with Spike...and, as always, Andrew entertains! :-)
Kennedy comes off as a pms-ing beacich in most all of the scenes, but simply glows during her bedroom scene with Willow and there after...I think she needed to get layed!
So here's my question - details, details, details...got any? I mean, is their a lead in at all or do they just hop into the sack? Anyone 'morph' by chance? Any steamy scenes we can expect? You know...details. :)
The Willow/Kennedy love scene follows the Wood/Faith scene.
Willow enters her bedroom looking at a map. She starts to address the SITs she believes are in the room, "Okay guys, Giles said that Faith said that we should..." She looks up to see that the only one in the room is Kennedy, wearing a nightgown and laying seductively under the sheets in the candle lit room. Willow asks what happened to the girls. Kennedy looks at Willow from under her eyelashes. "They're not here, are they?" "Nope." Willow closes the door.Willow goes to the bed and sits on the edge, then kisses Kennedy lightly on the lips. Kennedy kisses Willow back, taking the map from her and dropping it on the floor. "C'mere." Willow, smiling, slides in under the sheets next to Kennedy. They snuggle and kiss...but then Willow turns away. "Something not right?" asks Kennedy. Willow says she's scared...scared of herself. That if they sleep together, she could lose control of herself...lose herself, literally. Kennedy assures her that she's safe with her. "I'll keep you safe. You can float around and I'll tether you down." "You'll be, like, my kite string?" They start to kiss again, more passionatly this time. Willow closes her eyes, and abandons herself to Kennedy.
(later-part of a montage)
Kennedy licks Willows neck with he pierced tongue, then something happens under the sheets...
it makes Willow's eyes grow wide!
Why do they get it on? Didn't they already have "closure" sex? Is it somehow connected to the Wood/Faith hookup?
Well, apparently it wasn't closure enough...
or maybe not at all! ;-)
The Xander/Anya scene follows the Willow Kennedy scene.
Xander and Anya are sitting on the kitchen counter, talking and eating ice cream out of it's carton while sharing the same spoon.
Anya, of course, is doing most of the talking and seems somewhat crabby. "I mean, thet should at least acknowledge the possibility that some people might not want to listen to an a cappella concert of moaning and groaning." "Mmmmm." replies Xander, noncommittally. She goes on about it all being disgusting. Then Xander asks her if she's a little jealous. She tells him that she's a lot jealous, and that if Xander and her are done having sex, then "everyone else should just knock it off." Frustrated, she shoves a huge chunk of ice cream into her mouth.
(shortly thereafter, in a montage)
Behind the counter on the Kitchen floor, Xander and Anya are having sex. They are clothed, with Anya on top of Xander, her skirt spread out over him.
