Nepthys posted the following at FanForum. It's additional clarification on some of the events of 'First Date'.

A few spoilers from episode 14...

After going on yet another date with a demon woman set to kill him, Xander decides to try a new strategy. Gay living! Buffy points out that he could just as easily attract male demons. Dawn remarks that Clem always did like Xander... Mercifully, Giles interrupts before Xander makes any life-changing decisions.

Willow and Kennedy is now very much a couple - kissing, holding hands under the dinner table, etc...

As for Buffy and Spike, she does go out on a date with Wood to learn more about him, but at the end of the episode, it's painfully obvious to both Wood and others that she isn't interested in anyone else than Spike.

The episode ends with Wood being visited by the F.E. in the guise of his mother, Nikki. She tells him the identity of the man who killed her. He thanks her quietly.
