December 05, 2002New Drew, Succubus Club, SpoilerZone, OMWF
I Think He Likes Zombies Drew Goddard stopped by the BetaBronze last night and the archive is now available at the VIP Archive page. You'll also note that I'm no longer linking directly to the actual posts, but to the main page. It's such an invaluable and unique resource that I wanted to make sure that James gets all the credit for his hard work (and like me, he's doing this out of pocket). Plus, aside from the latest updates, they've also been working back through the archives to get to some of the earliest posts ever made. Besides putting the 'Was the Council Really Blown Up?' question to rest once and for all, he also hints at upcoming Xander moments to watch for.
Another site that I don't mention enough, which also qualifies as a unique resource for Buffy fans, is the Succubus Club. Last night, there was some writer news on the show (although it looks as if the Writer's Roundtable will be delayed). According to the hosts, Kitty and Candy, Drew Z. Greenberg will be penning Episode 13 followed by Jane Espenson on 14.
There is an update to the SpoilerZone, which includes a rough summary of 'Bring On The Night' from an anonymous source. From the ep. 10 script: "Note: It is VERY important that Giles not touch or be touched by anything. He can walk and talk-- but he can't fiddle or cuddle or caress. Got it?"The overall outline gels with what I've heard from my own sources, though in some respects there are more details than I have (for example, the shovel scene with Buffy and Principal Wood), so I can't fully confirm the summary. But I don't have many doubts, especially since it backs up my information on both Giles (no touchy-feely) and Spike (still MIA at the beginning of 'Showtime'). But as Drew pointed out in the BetaBronze last night, scripts can change up until the moment they are filmed (and even after, if you consider 'Beneath You').
Thanks to those who pointed out that I have failed to add the scriptbook for Once More, With Feeling to the store. I'm going to try and get it completely updated this weekend, but you can use this link for the moment. Link |
