TV Guide, Wanda, FX

Still Recovering

Still not back to 100%, or even close to 75% for that matter (as some may have noticed my goof on the Upcoming Episode schedule - now corrected), so today's update is going to be quick and brief (but I'm ahead of the game anyway because I didn't plan on updating yesterday).

TV Guide has now posted a description for 'Bring On The Night'.

Bring On the Night 60 min. As the Scoobies research the origins of the First to find a way to rescue Spike, Giles (Anthony Stewart Head) arrives with reinforcements---three apprentice Slayers. Also: Buffy is rattled when her mother (Kristine Sutherland) offers advice in her dreams. Kennedy: Iyari Limon. Annabelle: Courtnee Draper. Molly: Clara Bryant. Ubervamp: Camden Toy. Andrew: Tom Lenk. Principal Wood: D.B. Woodside.
Those keeping score will quickly peg Annabelle as the potential-Slayer who will probably not make it to 'Showtime'. Though even I'm surprised at the news that Joyce will be making another visit.

Wanda has posted the archive of the weekly chat at E! Online. While there's a bit more about the arrival of the Slayers-In-Training, I'm interested as to what she's heard about Principal Wood. We obviously know that something is up with him, but I still haven't gotten a good feel for what that might be.

Hmm, must be too much Nyquil. I've noticed just this moment that Wanda is referring to an actual Slayer and not a SIT, and mentions that the part hasn't been cast.

Which still could be very true, as it was reported here in October that the show was looking to cast a Slayer and not just SIT's. I had just been presuming that Wanda was referring to one of the many SIT's that will be arriving in Sunnydale in the next few weeks.

Finally, there was an interesting article (by Kate O'Hare) at Zap2It about 'Almost Human', the company that does makeup and creature design for Mutant Enemy. In the article, it makes mention of what would appear to be the UberVamps (and yes, that's plural for a reason)

There's also a design for new "Buffy" foes, a master race of vampires, but as Hall says, waving his hand in front of the unfinished mask, "You didn't see this."
Which means that what we saw crawl out of the seal at the end of 'Never Leave Me', could be the first of many.

Have I mentioned lately how the Scooby Gang was going to have much more to worry about than just Spike?
