July 25, 2002Master Info, Cast Photo, SMG's Contract
Leaving On A Jet Plane A couple of sources (Tiffany and Dave), wrote to let me know that tomorrow, Mark Metcalf will be winging his was to Sunny California. It appears that he discussed it during his usual spot on a local radio show, and even mentioned the title of the script he had received. Do you really have to guess... It's 'Lessons'. While still not enough to give it a solid confirmation, this has been mentioned by enough sources to make it certainly look as if the Master will be back sometime during that episode. Then again, it could be the sadistic new gym teacher. "You're All Worthless And Weak. Now Drop And Give Me Twenty"
I know that ComicsContinuum has released a cast photo for Season Seven. I haven't mentioned it yet, because it's obviously the same cast photo for Season Six (minus Amber Benson). The information that accompanies it, points to the Season Premiere being September 17th. At this time, I think they are both technically inaccurate. I've got plenty of documentation mentioning the Premiere Date as September 24th. The only way this could change, is if the WB decides to play around a bit with the premiere of Gilmore Girls. If they decide to launch the show on September 17th, UPN may have to respond. But for the time being, I'd keep the 24th circled on the calendar.
Likewise, there's been some unconfirmed spoilage floating around, in which Sarah has supposedly signed on through Season Nine. In Season Eight, she would only appear in a handful of episodes, but return for the entire run of Season Nine. The article, while claiming to be from a legitimate paper, does not appear to have ever been published in that paper. More importantly, if Sarah had signed for two more seasons, UPN probably would not be keeping that fact hidden from the public (nor would Fox, as it would mean more money for them as well). If Sarah does extend her contract, I think it probably would not happen until mid-season at the earliest. Link |
