March 10, 2002Saturday Update - Episodes 18 through 20 and the BSD
This update will be different from the usual style. For one, the humorous headings would be inappropriate at this time. I also think that for right now, it's best to stick to the spoilers and avoid speculating on them for the moment. After Tuesday's episode, it could be as long as five weeks before we have any solid answers. There will be plenty of time for speculation during the break (and it's part of the reason why I've been holding off on speculating recently). There has been a lot of seemingly false spoilage lately. However, it is beginning to look as if there might be some bits of real spoilage mixed in with the false ones. The same thing started happening towards the end of last season as well. I recall several spoilers which had Buffy leaping through a window and falling to her death, or being sucked into a dimensional vortex. While they didn't tell the entire story of the end of Season Five, both had some ties to what really happened. She did fall to her death, and her lifeforce was sucked out by the vortex. Why this happens, I'm not sure. It could be lucky guesses on the parts of the posters, or it could be things that are picked up from things overheard or seen on the sets. As I cover the spoilage, you'll notice that there are things that kind of match what other spoiler sources have said, or spoilers that I've previously ruled out as false. You should not take this to mean that all of those 'false' spoilers are now true. I can honestly claim that there is a lot of confusion right now to what is actually going to happen over the next four episodes. I'm going to do my best to sort out the spoilers that we can count on. But as you will see, there is a lot of contradictory information surrounding the 'big spoilers'.
Before I even address the Angel X updates from this morning, I should go back and address some spoilage from a few days ago. There was a post at the Bronze Beta, which I ignored at the time it was posted. I really didn't think there was any merit to it, but I may have been hasty in that judgement. Here is how it appeared at the Bronze Beta (excuse the language). willowfan says: (Fri Mar 8 23:05:12 2002 12.38.211.1)More Old Spoilage This was posted on Thursday at AICN in the Talkback section (thanks to AlaneSue for pointing it out). From: azwica Subject: SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS Comment: I am serious, I am writing some HUGE Spoilers, so if you do NOT want to know, do not read on...OK, here we go...the big death is Tara and she is killed by Warren. This sends Willow into magic in a big way. This season's big bad is the characters themselves. How they react to the world around them and the various things that happen to them. Their responses. Here is another MAJOR spoiler...Anya gets it on with Spike. It is for revenge purposes and unbeknownst to them, Buffy, Willow and Xander see the whole thing when they find the nerd's lair. The nerds had set up a surveillence system and Buffy, Willow and Xander happen upon it just in time to watch the deed take placeAngel X Spoilage at the Cross and Stake Posted at the Cross and Stake IMPORTANT GENERAL NOTE: Below are some spoilers for the last few episodes of the season and there's a whole ton of earth-shattering events. I will try to give away what I can, but there will be some material that is time-sensitive and other content that I wouldn't post if my life depended on it. You'll understand why when it happens. There will be some big spoilers posted later on, but they will be posted to Extra Spoilage in the interest of keeping some mystery for those who don't want to know *everything*.Angel X Spoilage at the Kitten Board Kitten Board (Comments by AngelX) Unfortunately, the character that does not survive this season is Tara. It is accidental, but she is killed by Warren who intended to kill Buffy. For those who don't want to know, I'm not going to get into details of how it happens. Willow tries to revive her, but because Tara is not taken away by mystical powers, Willow does not have what it takes at the time to bring her back. Consequently, this leads to Willow's return to magic and it's not a change for the good. Motivated by rage, she becomes consumed with dark magic and goes out on a rampage to seek revenge. If it helps at all, Warren suffers horribly at the hands of Willow for taking Tara's life. Also added later... In regards to Katrina's returnMy Comments Okay, there is a lot to cover and as fast as I try to keep up with everything, the boards are simply abuzz with all this information. I have no reason to doubt anything that Angel X has posted, most of those spoilers will be added to the page tonight and given a 'likely ranking'. In terms of the old spoilage. Right now, I can only say that it appears that Spike and Anya might have some kind of a fling. However, I'm going to rank this one as 'possible'. I do believe the 'main spoiler', which is that something is seen via tape or a hidden camera , but I don't want to speculate 'how', 'why', or 'who' exactly is involved. You can see for yourself that while the info that there is a 'Spike/Anya' fling is related in several reports, the details vary as to exactly what happens. This is why I don't want to speculate. Things do look grim, but I've still got this feeling that we are missing a big piece of the puzzle. I don't think we should be quick to judge this information as any indication of the direction the show is going in. We've got geeks with 'time-altering devices' and 'robots', we have witches who have been casting 'mind-altering' spells, and we have two real vengeance demons and one ex-vengeance demons running around Sunnydale. No matter what happens through episode 20, there are still two episodes until the end of the season. There was a hint that there might be something abou the origins of the Slayer, with the casting reports we had earlier this week. A little while ago, BBOvenGuy (the Shooting Location Report guru), posted this info about a location shoot next week at the Kitten Board. Location Shoot Info I was going to hang onto this little bit of info until Tuesday, but in light of what's been going on today I'll post it now. I have a new contact with access to the eidc shoot sheet, and through that contact I've been given the following Buffy location shoot: |
