Finished with the updating, tomorrow

Finished with the updating, tomorrow if I get a chance I'll do my usual review of the latest episode and thoughts on how it might relate to the Buffy Formula. As for the Spoiler Slayer, I ran across some very interesting interviews at the BBC Website. One of the questions asked to Sarah, brought a very interesting response.

Will Buffy ever love Spike?

There’s a part of me that will always believe that Angel is Buffy’s true love. That there will be a piece of her heart that will always be with him for the rest of her life. It doesn’t mean that’s the person that she’s meant to be with eternally.

The thing about Buffy and Spike is they understand each other on a level that nobody else understands her. They’ve both lived a hundred lives and I think there’s a connection there that we will see evolve over the next couple of years where she realizes that he really is someone that she can trust, someone that’s a companion to her and someone that really understands her unlike anybody else.

That, in addition to Herc's nailing 16 out of 16 spoilers for the first episode, is causing me to upgrade most of the Spike/Buffy spoilage. As I said before, it's pretty obvious that the two are being paired for the first half of this season. With the comments from Sarah, and some of the others, there will be some kind of Buffy/Spike relationship this season. I'm keeping the 'unrequited love' spoiler where it is, because there is a good chance that they might recognize their feelings but not act on it. Imagine a 'Something Blue' scenario during the musical, but both end up feeling very awkward about their 'heart to heart' afterwards. I know that this will thrill some and upset others, but it fits the story arc for the season, it fits the direction the writers were heading all last season, and it fits the spoilers that are out there. I also don't feel that this is something that is going to happen because Buffy isn't currently 'herself'. Buffy might have come back a bit confused, but that doesn't mean that she isn't in her right mind. I think that in terms of a storyline, it will make a great deal of sense and be a very powerful one as well.
