As Angel questions his role at Wolfram and Hart, Cordelia awakens from her coma. It's while the rest of the 'Fang Gang' are trying to talk him out of leaving, that they get the news. They bring Cordelia to Wolfram and Hart, where she is shocked to discover who Angel is working with and for. Angel tries to convince her that there is a good reason for the partnership with Wolfram and Hart.

Cordelia awoke because of a vision, of a tattooed man who is after Angel. Eve alerts Lindsey that Cordelia has returned and has passed on info about him. Lindsey, still playing the role of Spike's Doyle, directs him to attack Cordelia.

Lindsey in the meantime, uses the tattoos to get himself past Wolfram and Hart's sensors. He's after a secret room in the basement, which was designed as a failsafe to take out Angel is he became to much of a problem. Spike shows up and bites Cordelia, but Angel stops him before it gets to far. Spike reveals that he was warned by Doyle, a tattooed Doyle. Angel and Cordelia realize what is going on, and grab Eve before she can leave the building. They manage to get the information out of her and proceed below to stop Lindsey.

A battle between Lindsey and Angel ensues, while Cordelia tries to shut down the machinery. Upstairs, the rest of the gang discover a way to remove Lindsey's tattoos which are protecting him from the Senior Partners. Cordelia stops the machine, Lindsey is sucked into a void, and Eve is thrown out. While the rest go out to celebrate, Cordelia tells Angel that he'll succeed in the end. However, she can't stay here, she has a different path to follow. She kisses him, and leaves.

THE SERIES CELEBRATES ITS 100TH EPISODE - Cordelia (guest star Charisma Carpenter) mysteriously awakens from her coma and is shocked and unhappy to discover that Angel (David Boreanaz) and the group are no longer fighting Wolfram & Hart, they're running it. When she realizes that Angel has lost his conviction to be a hero, she gives him the information and support he needs to get back on track. Meanwhile, while Angel has security keeping an eye on Eve (Sarah Thompson), her partner Lindsay (guest star Christian Kane) prepares to bring about Angel's demise.
