ATS: Episode 19 Info
Information has come in on Angel: Episode 19. Very sketchy, but from the little that can be seen, it does appear to be very comedic and lighthearted in tone. Even the bits with Illyria are more amusing than threatening.
Angel: Episode 5.19
Gunn is back, and it appears that he is discussing his (or Angel Investigations) new outlook on representing their clients. A young woman, who is very pregnant, comes into the room. Amanda, is here about a contract she's about to enter with a demon clan.
A tribe of demons, the Fell Brethren, had located her earlier, having determined that her child was related to one of their prophecies. They have been taking care of Amanda during her pregnancy, and she's well aware that they are demons, but is still interested.
Down in the lobby, Illyria enters the building and heads to Wes's office. She's not unnoticed, as Lorne is 'undercover' tracking her movements. He talks into his phone, and follows after her.
The Fell Brethren are also present, waiting for Amanda to come out of her conference with Amanda. Harmony is explaining to them about the delay, but they are not happy. The are concerned that things are not going well. Harmony assures them that Angel will have no problems making sure things will go smoothly. But in the conference room, Gunn is telling Amanda not to do it. She's confused, as Wolfram and Hart is supposed to help with contracts like this. Gunn and Angel have a hard time explaining, when Angel is interrupted by a phone call from Lorne.
Amanda is not to be deterred, she knows it seems strange that she's willing to give up her child to the tribe. But, she explains, her child is going to be their next messiah. They will care for him, he'll be an important person, something she can't give him. She can't, because her husband was injured at work. He has incurable brain damage, so they are just getting by at the moment. The the demons can heal him, but she has to do something for them. Angel goes to get the Brethren.
Outside the conference room, Lorne discovers he is not as undercover as he thought. Illyria is not amused, accusing Angel of playing games. As she continues to move through the building, the scene shifts back to the conference room. The leader of the Fell Brethren greets Amanda. All are excited to see her.
They begin to sign the paperwork, and Amanda is about to seal the deal, when Gunn interrupts. There is a word in a clause that he is concerned about. It details a demonic ritual that will be performed when the child reaches the age of 13. Amanda wonders if it's like a bar mitzvah, and the Fell begin to get uneasy. Gunn explains that it's a ritual sacrifice, of her child. The Fell are outraged, as Gunn is supposed to be their lawyer, not hers. It appears that a fight is about to break out, when Illyria enters the room. She wants to talk to Angel, and he tries to explain that they are kind of busy at the moment. Illyria doesn't care, and looks ready to kill the Fell if they object. Angel agrees to talk and they leave the office. The big news is that Gunn is not gone for good. I didn't think that he would be, and I really did expect that it would be resolved at the end of 'Underneath' or the start of 5.18. Which appears to be the case. No sign of any of the aftereffects of 5.18 and the Connor story, or any info on Lindsey or Eve.
